Natural slate - areas of application and compatibility with other roofing materials.

Aesthetic, beautiful, reliable and durable - everybody dreams of such a house. Let's take a look at one of the roofing materials that fits perfectly with this description and can be used not only on the roof, but also on the chimney, cornice, gable and facade of the building and, as you guessed, it is natural slate.

Slate, a versatile building material that will reliably protect your house from the weather.
No matter what the main coating is roofing: natural slate, ceramic tile, wooden shingle roof or reed, at least one chimney will pass through the roof and will need reliable protection from rain, snow, wind and other dangerous weather conditions.

Using a slate on the chimney is one of the most optimal solutions, since the slate is mechanically attached and it has no restrictions on temperature conditions during installation, as other materials do. Slate is a frost-resistant and fire-resistant material to which any weather conditions are not terrible. Unlike shale, all other common materials such as ceramic bricks or tiles, plaster, metal profiles, etc. have temperature or functional limitations when used, which limits their use during certain periods, for example, at subzero temperature.

White efflorescence on the surface of the chimney or on the gable, a frequent phenomenon that in the future leads to the destruction of bricks, and, accordingly, to additional costs for reconstruction, which is excluded when using slate.
Natural slate is very well compatible with ceramic tiles.
Elite ceramic tile beaver tail, covered with glaze (a thin layer of glass), embellished on the eaves and on the chimney - natural slate.

The combination of cement-sand tile and slate on the pediment of the attic window pleases the eye.

Composite tile, although not a natural product, has found its combination with natural slate.

Large gable areas can be used for slate decorative masonry.

Natural slate + tile + copper - one of the ideal combinations on the roof or facade of your home.

Large eaves overhangs or the ends of the terraced area, which visually divide the house in half, using the different directions of laying slate perfectly fit and create a pattern on any surface.

All the most vulnerable places of the roof, which are exposed to solar ultraviolet radiation and precipitation, can be reliably protected by slate. Easy installation, unpretentious maintenance, many forms, as well as long service life - these are one of the most important advantages of natural slate.
