Natural slate - geometric shapes of the project (Brussels)

Natural materials are gaining more and more popularity every year, and natural slate is one of them. Due to its many properties, such as: durability, environmental friendliness, ease of processing and installation, versatility - slate wins the hearts of many architects and designers, allowing them to create bold, creative objects. One example of such a creative solution is the pyramid house in Brussels.

Bilt House is an amazing modern house in Belgium, which, like the Egyptian pyramids, fascinates with its unique appearance. The house has a steep pyramidal roof with slight asymmetry. For the roof, natural slate was used, which from two sides smoothly goes to the facade. Due to the versatility of this material, namely, the possibility of installing natural slate on roofs and facades, it was possible to achieve such an amazing result.

On two other sides, the house has huge panoramic windows that open up the opportunity not only to admire the landscapes that open, but also make the house bright.

Attic windows mounted on the slate roof also serve as an additional light source.

The union of only two materials - natural slate and glass - made this house not just a living quarters, but a real work of art, from which it is hard to tear your admiring glance.
