Slate house in the picturesque Beskids.

Nature increasingly inspires architects and designers to create their own unique projects. When there are picturesque mountains and forests around, I want to create something that will fit perfectly into the surrounding landscape, emphasizing it.

It was these goals that the creators of the house in Beskidy (Poland) faced, with which they brilliantly dealt with.

Despite its rather large size, the house "merges" with the landscape, and this effect is achieved by consciously choosing natural finishing materials and limiting their diversity.

For the facade and roof cladding, natural slate was used. This material is universal, and different types of slate can be used both for the facade and roofs, as well as in the interior and landscape.

It was with the construction of this house that natural slate was first used in the decoration of garage doors. Such a bold decision made the building holistic and concise.

Slate stone was chosen not only because of its naturalness, but also because of its durability and lack of need for care.

When building a house in Beskydy, it was decided to use natural and high quality materials. Therefore, they decided to dilute the gray slate with a tree from which the terrace and part of the facade were made. The basin bowl is made of stainless steel, which ensures durability even without the need for maintenance.

Instead of polystyrene foam, basalt cotton wool was used to insulate the walls, and the solid fuel boiler was replaced by a gas one.
The panoramic layout of the house and restrained colors due to the nature of the materials used are in harmony with nature and fit perfectly into the Beskid mountains.
